Our writing programme journey is initiated with interactive discussions. Children are introduced to literature (both unabridged and abridged versions).
With the on-going cultivation of readership and reading skills development, this module guides students to form OPINIONS and pen down their thoughts in simple sentences. Writing mechanics (grammar) are taken care of. Students are gradually challenged to write more complex sentences towards the later stage of this module.
More complex texts are presented to students in this module. They are guided to read between the lines and express their thoughts and opinions in multiple sentences. Students are also introduced to ways to LINK the sentences in a logical manner.
Students are guided to ANALYZE increasingly more complex texts, and begin to have more ideas to support their opinion in a more sensible and effective manner. Students will explore a wide range of writing genres. They continue to practice writing in paragraphs.
